This position is a Level 3 Commercial Service Technician role.
Position Summary
Clarke-Rush is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Level 3 Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is focused exclusively on advanced service, diagnostics, and repair of commercial HVAC systems. This is not a maintenance-only position.
The Level 3 Technician operates independently, handles complex system issues, and may provide technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repair on commercial HVAC systems
- Service RTUs, VAV systems, and other large mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of chillers, boilers, a plus
- Troubleshoot electrical, and mechanical system issues
- Perform major component replacements and system retrofits
- Accurately document service findings, parts used, and recommendations
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs and solutions
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior technicians as needed
Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills with complex systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proven ability to work independently in the field
- EPA Certification (Universal preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
